For more than 20 years, the Rogers State University Foundation has experienced one constant – the leadership of Carlene Webber of Claremore.

This semester her service to the Foundation has been recognized with the Carlene Webber Scholarship Endowment established by her son Mick Webber and his wife Audrey. The endowment will fund scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in any areas of business administration.

First elected to the Foundation’s Board of Directors in 1999, she became vice-chair in 2011 and assumed the position of chair a year later. After serving as chair, the Board selected Webber to serve as executive director, a volunteer position.

“Carlene has been a true North Star for the Foundation,” RSU President Larry Rice, said. “She has a passion for helping students and a love for RSU. We are thrilled that Mick and Audrey have chosen to honor her service with a scholarship endowment.”

Webber has been a member of the Foundation’s auction committee since its inception in 2005. During this time, she has sold more raffle tickets than all other committee members combined. She also annually supports the annual Claremore Scholarship Breakfast. In addition, Carlene has been very involved with the Oklahoma Military Academy Alumni Association, and has been selected as an Honorary Cadet.

Each year, she enthusiastically informs people about the work of the Foundation. Her knowledge and standing in the Claremore community have been extremely beneficial in helping the Foundation raise funds, cultivate prospective donors, and establish important donor relationships.
