Rogers State University’s Student Art Show and Sale will open Thursday, Oct. 22, in the Foundations Gallery on the Claremore campus.
The show, which includes works from a variety of media, kicks off with a reception on opening night at 5 p.m. in the gallery. The show and sale concludes Nov. 12.
The art show includes works from current RSU fine arts students, and organizers say the fall art show is popular because student artwork makes good holiday gifts. Students set the prices for the pieces, with prices starting around $10.
A 20-percent commission from each sale benefits the RSU Summer Art Program in Italy with the rest going directly to the student artists.
Students participating in the art show include: Elizabeth Billings, Dana Shouse, Grant Richard, Hunter Nelson, Talon Kingfisher, Shaylyndria Keeler, Callie Mercer, Gabby Gaither, Sharleen Branch, Creed Littlefield, Dylan Bowles, Mai Pa Chee Vang, Robyn Chepkauskas, Andrea Koch, Jerica Scullawl-Gates, Shanna Harrison, Mailia Pila, Katie tucker, Shianne Mason, Marithza Gallo, Heather Lynn Hudson, Kristine Alcorn, Hannanh Hovey, Allison Mims, Cody Applegate and Jessica Wittig
