The rotunda of the Dr. Carolyn Taylor Center at RSU became a Polynesian paradise on Monday as a kickoff for the Office of Student Affairs’ annual “Spring Safety Week.”
“Sand, Sun and Safety” offered students their choice of free mocktails to demonstrate that fun can be had without the use of alcohol, with free sunscreen samples also available to emphasize the importance of staying safe in the sun, and beach games were available for play.
Other scheduled “Spring Safety Week” events include an address on body autonomy (Tuesday, March 11, at 3 p.m. in room 146 in Herrington Hall), and “Car Checks with CamPo” (Wednesday, March 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the RSU Campus Police parking lot), at which there also will be a drug take back event.
Rogers State University’s Office of Student Affairs invites all students to participate in this week of activities to be equipped and informed for a fun, safe spring break the following week.
RSU’s spring break will be held from Monday, March 17, through Friday, March 21, during which time, campus offices will be closed.
