Seniors to Exhibit New Works for Fall 2017 Capstone Experience

Eight seniors in the Rogers State University Department of Fine Arts will show works ranging from mixed-media pieces to photography as part of the Fall 2017 Senior Capstone Exhibition. The exhibit will run Friday, Nov. 10, through Friday, Nov. 24, at the Foundations Gallery in Baird Hall on RSU’s Claremore campus. 

An opening reception will be held at 5:00 p.m., Friday, Nov. 10 with student musicians from the RSU music department performing at the event.

The works represent the capstone experience for students completing their Bachelor of Fine Art in Visual Arts degree. Artists showing in the exhibition are Kristi M. Alcorn of Tulsa, Benjamin A. Cogan of Bixby, Taylor R. Ennis of Catoosa, Jacqueline O. Johnson of Skiatook, Shaylyndria E. Keeler-Corle of Delaware, Talon H. Kingfisher of Salina, Dylan R. Smith of Tulsa and Jessica L. Torbett of Owasso.

The exhibit is free and open to the public and will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday

The RSU Department of Fine Arts offers a bachelor’s of fine art in visual arts with options in graphic design, multimedia, photographic arts and studio art, as well as an associate in arts in liberal arts with an option in Native American studies. The department also offers minors in art, art history, graphic design, music, and Native American studies.
