RSU’s Criminal Justice Society to Host Coffee with a Cop Oct. 9

cops having coffee with publicRogers State University students, faculty, staff and members of the community are invited to meet with members of local law enforcement over coffee and donuts at an informal event Oct. 9.

Hosted by RSU’s Criminal Justice Society, “Coffee with a Cop” welcomes members of the Claremore Police Department, Rogers County Sheriff’s Office and around a dozen other law enforcement agencies for a unique opportunity to connect with students in a casual, friendly setting.

“We believe this event will continue to foster positive relationships and open communication between Rogers State University, the greater community and the respective law departments,” said RSU STEM Outreach Coordinator Laci Henegar. “We will be serving donuts and coffee as refreshments and, in addition to the great conversation, we’ll have some of our drones and robots on hand for attendees to try out.”

This event is free to attend. No reservations are necessary.

Rogers State University’s Criminal Justice Society promotes academic excellence to make the criminal justice system and its practitioners more effective and ethical.

Coffee With a Cop will be held Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 9 a.m. in room 135 of Herrington Hall on RSU’s Claremore campus.
