Rogers State University invites alumni, friends and Hillcat fans of all ages to its Homecoming 2018 gameday celebration on Sat., Nov. 17 in Claremore.
Public homecoming activities start at 11:30 a.m. Saturday with the Hillcat Tailgating Party, a pre-game, family-friendly celebration featuring a photo booth, inflatables and games held outside the Claremore Expo Center where the basketball games will be played. All pre-game tailgating is free and open to the public.
Back for its second year, a Corn Hole Tournament will be held during the Homecoming tailgate. Interested participants must preregister their team of two at www.rsu.edu/homecoming. Cost to enter the tournament is $10 per team.
The Women’s Hillcat basketball team will face off against Ecclesia College with tipping off at 2 p.m. The men’s game will follow at 4 p.m and the Hillcats will play against Rockhurst University.
The 2018 RSU Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned during halftime of the men’s game. The homecoming court will also include the Homecoming Prince and Princess from Claremont Elementary School, RSU’s partner in the Hillcub Program.
General admission game tickets can be purchased for $7 for adults or $4 for students and seniors. Children 12 and younger as well as all RSU students (with ID) are free.
The RSU Alumni Association is also selling T-shirts at the Homecoming games. Proceeds from shirt sales will benefit RSU scholarships for deserving students. Shirts are available while supplies last.
