The art of students at Claremore High School and longtime CHS art teacher Linda Scudder will be displayed from Feb. 16 through March 2 at Rogers State University.
The exhibition, titled “Full Circle: the Art of Linda Scudder and the Students of Claremore High School,” will be held in the Foundations Gallery, located in Baird Hall on the RSU campus in Claremore. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
An opening reception for the exhibition will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16, in the gallery. The public is invited to attend. .
Scudder has been teaching art at CHS since 1977, mentoring several generations of area artists. She is a well-known local artist.
Students represented in the show include Emily Knight, senior and president of the CHS Art club, who will be showing her prints and mixed media work; Jared Miller, sophomore and vice-president of the CHS Art Club, who will be showing mixed media pieces and photographs; and Kelly McBride, sophomore and CHS Art Club member-at-large in the Student Council, who also will have mixed media work and photographs in the exhibition.
