Dr. William Hart, associate professor in the Rogers State University Department of Health Sciences, will present a review of Michael Pollan’s book “The Omnivore’s Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals” at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 25 in the RSU Stratton Taylor Library.
The free event is open to the public and will be held in room 207 of the RSU Stratton Taylor Library. Refreshments will be served.
Hart said he chose Pollan’s book because it is well-written and covers a variety of nutrition-related topics including exploring the psychology behind the food choices people make each day.
“I am always interested in how we view food and how we interact with food,” Hart said. “Food is something very powerful for us; it is something more than gas in a car.”
Hart has research interests in geriatrics, nutrition and public health. He earned his doctorate in human nutrition from Michigan State University.
