The wheel-thrown and hand-molded pottery of the students and staff of Third Street Clayworks will be exhibited from Jan. 19 through Feb. 9 at Rogers State University.
The exhibition, titled “Third Street Clayworks,” will be held in the Foundations Gallery in Baird Hall on the RSU campus in Claremore. It is free and open to the public. An opening reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at the gallery.
Third Street Clayworks is a locally owned and operated pottery studio located on Third Street in downtown Tulsa. It is owned by Jane Elbon and C.J. Wells. The primary focus of the studio is to provide pottery classes to the public. Students at the studio do not receive academic credit for the classes, but take them for their interest in ceramic arts.
Local artists to be featured in the RSU exhibition include Patsy Graham, April Marciszewski, Julie Trainum and C.J. Wells, all of Tulsa.
Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, call (918) 343-7740.
