High school seniors and transfer students interested in attending Rogers State University in the fall will have the opportunity to enroll early at “First Choice: RSU, Early Enrollment Day” to be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 2, in the Health Sciences Building on the RSU campus in Claremore.
The event is designed to allow new students to complete admission procedures, talk with financial aid counselors, meet one-on-one with a faculty advisor from his or her area of interest, and enroll in classes for the fall semester, all during a single morning. Breakfast will be available and parents are welcome to accompany their students to the event.
“We have streamlined the process of enrolling so incoming freshmen as well as transfer students will be able to complete all paperwork at one convenient time and location,” said Becky Noah, RSU director of enrollment management.
New students will learn about the wide variety of bachelor’s and associate’s degree programs available at RSU, as well as guidance in selecting a major. Participants also will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from RSU student organizations, club and intramural sports programs and other extracurricular activities. Guided tours of the campus and information about the RSU new student orientation program will be provided.
In addition to enrolling in fall classes, students can enroll in classes for the upcoming summer term if they choose to get a jump on their college career.
High school juniors and their parents also are invited to the event to learn more about the college experience or about enrolling in concurrent classes while they are still in high school.
Participants are encouraged to gain admission to RSU and register for “First Choice: RSU, Early Enrollment Day” in advance by calling (918) 343-7546 or 1-800-256-7511.
