Christmas comes but once a year, and in anticipation of the return of the holiday season, Rogers State University will be getting into the spirit with the “Holiday on the Hill” campus lighting ceremony.
Scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in front of Preparatory Hall, this annual event kicks off the beginning of the Christmas season on the Hill, with members of the campus and nearby communities encouraged to attend and celebrate the holidays.
Children are welcome to have their photos taken with Santa and Hunter the Hillcat on the steps of Preparatory Hall, with a possible visit from the Grinch, at no cost to the parents or families.
New to the festivities this year will be the Claremont Elementary School Choir, whose members will be on hand to sing Christmas carols.
Free cookies, cider and hot chocolate will also be provided.
This event is sponsored by the Campus Activities Team (CAT) and RSU Student Affairs and is free and open to the public.
