Rogers State University’s Social Justice League will host its fourth annual Mental Wealth Day Thursday, Oct. 24. The event, free and open to the public, runs 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Centennial Center on RSU’s Claremore campus.
Mental Wealth Day promotes mental health and wellness in the community by educating people about resources, careers and educational opportunities in the fields of mental health, criminal justice and social science.
RSU’s Mental Wealth Day will include informational booths, free mental health screening for students by RSU counseling services and a blood drive.
The event will also include small-group presentations on various topics related to mental health, including talks on unplanned pregnancy, human trafficking and domestic violence. The presentations, which will be held in meeting rooms in the Centennial Center, are free and open to the public. Guests are invited to come and go as they please.
A silent auction will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Proceeds will be used to support the Community Counseling and Psychology Students Association and Psi Chi, the international psychology honors society.
