The third annual Hillcat Hacker Invitational takes place on the Rogers State University Claremore campus Friday, Nov. 9, as university students, friends and alumni tee off a weekend of RSU Homecoming 2012 events.
The Hillcat Hacker Invitational is a game for everyone. Pros, amateurs and hackers alike can play amidst the hazards of RSU’s scenic campus. The game features a one-of-a-kind 18-hole course that takes golfers on a tour of RSU’s historic buildings, monuments and spacious green spaces. Players will use special non-destructive golf balls.
“The Hillcat Hacker has quickly become one of the most anticipated events of the Homecoming weekend,” said event chair Marisa Littlefield. “We are excited to welcome back participants from previous years and add teams of new Hackers to enjoy this fun event on our beautiful campus.”
The individual entry fee is $50 per player or $200 for a team of four. This includes golf, t-shirt and lunch. RSU students can enter for $25 per player.
Participants will compete in a four-person scramble while navigating around historic RSU landmarks such as Preparatory Hall and the Thomas Jefferson statue.
Trophies will be awarded to the winning team for each flight. Great prizes, including a PlayStation 3, iPod Touch and themed gift baskets will be given away by process of a random drawing at the conclusion of the tournament. The event is in conjunction with RSU Homecoming 2012 and all proceeds will benefit the RSU Alumni Association and Hillcat Athletics.
Participants can bring one golf club of their choice or choose from a selection of clubs provided on site.
Remaining sponsorship opportunities range from a $100 student team sponsorship to the $2,500 Eagle Sponsor level that includes the sponsor’s logo on event promotions, signs on two holes, recognition as a presenting sponsor, two teams of four, two recognition announcements during the RSU Homecoming basketball games, two reserved seats and Hillcat Club hospitality access at the games, along with six additional general admission game passes.
