Art in a variety of media by Rogers State University students will be exhibited April 14 through May 15 at RSU’s Foundations Gallery.
The Student Art Show, which is free and open to the public, will feature a wide variety of work by RSU students.
A public opening reception for the exhibition and an awards presentation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, in the gallery.
RSU art students competed for scholarships in the juried exhibition. The guest judge for this year’s competition will be James Peck, curator of European and American art at the Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa.
The exhibition features the best photography, drawings, paintings, sculpture, ceramics, graphic arts, and mixed media pieces created by RSU students during the current school year.
Foundations Gallery is located on the first floor of Baird Hall on the RSU campus in Claremore.
RSU offers a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts (also available online) and associate’s degrees in art with options in general art, art history and graphics. The degrees are offered by RSU’s Department of Communication and Fine Arts in its School of Liberal Arts.
