RSU to Hold Information Session on Adult Degree Program

An information session for those interested in participating in the new Adult Degree Completion Program at Rogers State University will be held on Thursday, March 6, at the RSU campuses in Claremore and Bartlesville.

The information session will be held from 6 p.m. in Room 146 of Herrington Hall on the Claremore campus and will be broadcast live via compressed video to Room 733 (seventh floor) of the Bartlesville campus.

The session is designed for working adults who once attended college but never finished their degree and wish to pursue the new Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Organizational Leadership at RSU.

Participants will learn about the background, structure and teaching approaches used in the new degree completion program; receive academic advising, including an evaluation of their previous coursework and transcripts; and receive instruction on how to apply and enroll online, all at one convenient time and location.

The degree program is offered in a flexible, accelerated format for busy adults who are juggling work and family responsibilities. Students may be able to complete the program and earn their degree in 18 months.
Students will be allowed to enroll in the program at five times throughout the year. They will be placed into classes with their peers, allowing them the opportunity to study together and share their experiences. Most assignments may be completed online, providing a maximum level of flexibility.

The new degree is part of the Oklahoma Adult Degree Completion Program, a statewide initiative to increase the number of state residents who have earned bachelor’s degrees, spearheaded by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.
The broad-based degree will prepare students for a wide variety of careers including education, government, corporate and non-profit environments.
