The Rogers State University Theatre Program will stage its latest reading this week in the campus art gallery as a tribute to the source material.
“The Lesbian Exhibit,” written by Tulsa playwright Will Inman, features five women in an exhibit where their stories are shared. The play details the complicated lives these women lead while exploring how much more complicated they get when their lives are put on display.
The performances will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23 and Friday, Feb. 24 in the Foundations Art Gallery located in Baird Hall on the Claremore campus.
The reading will feature Autumn Fourkiller as Elaine, Sean Tyler as Lisa, Madison Bluejacket as Christine, Bethany Henley as Heidi and Kessiah Neff as Denise.
Admission for all performances is $12 for adults, $7 for seniors and $3 for RSU students, faculty and staff who present university ID. All proceeds will benefit student participation in the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival regional competition. Tickets are available at the door.
To round out its spring season, RSU Theatre will stage an adaptation of Mark Twain’s classic “The Adventure of Tom Sawyer” on April 13-15 at the Will Rogers Auditorium.
