The Rogers State University Theatre Program will present “Texaco Mornings,” a one-act play written by Wesley Coburn, a 2017 RSU graduate from Beggs. The production will run from Thursday, March 8, through Saturday, March 10. Performances will be held at 7:07 p.m. at the Performance Studio in Baird Hall on the Claremore campus.
The play centers around Tess and Nick, two cousins who have grown up like brother and sister. Tess has just finished college and Nick is trying to finish high school. When life throws them a curve, they have a hard time adjusting.
“Texaco Mornings” is directed by Andrew Nichols, an RSU alumnus who serves as the university’s auditorium media supervisor. The cast includes David Nichols, a 2010 RSU graduate from Claremore, as Tom; Nate Cogan, a Corporate Communications senior from Bixby, as Adam; Jennifer Stemmer, a Liberal Arts sophomore from Sallisaw, as Tess; and Joseph Beard, a Tulsa Community College sophomore from Claremore, as Nick.
Admission to the theatre production is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors, and $3 for students, staff and faculty with RSU ID. Tickets are available at the door.
Additional productions planned for this spring include “Steel Magnolias” on April 5-7 and April 12-14.
