Several Rogers State University students and employees honored the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. this week with their participation in the annual MLK Parade in Tulsa on Monday, Jan. 16. Students rode or walked alongside a float that paid tribute to the late minister and civil rights leader on the federal holiday that observes his birthday and honors his life and legacy. They were accompanied by members of the RSU Student Affairs staff. This year’s parade theme was “We Are Stronger When Working Together.”
