It was standing-room-only Tuesday afternoon, as Rogers State University students turned out in high numbers at the RSU Student Recreation Room’s grand re-opening.
Students in Dr. Earlene Washburn’s entrepreneurship course undertook the recreation room’s renovation as a class project, raising funds and getting donations of furnishings, materials, services, and other essentials to modernize and refurbish the room.
Among the renovations were the inclusion of a karaoke machine, a foosball table, pool table, air hockey table, new games, working televisions, a study area and more.
Washburn said additional funding is still needed to upgrade the rec room furniture.
The Student Recreation Room is free to use for all Rogers State University students. It is located on the first floor of the Dr. Carolyn Taylor Center.
Persons wishing to contribute to the purchase of new furniture for the rec room may contact Washburn at 918-343-7734 or [email protected].
