RSU Student Group Seeks Participants for Inaugural Korea Day Event

The newly formed International Students Association at Rogers State University is seeking individuals and groups to participate in its inaugural Korea Day event on Thursday, November 1, 2012.

Korea Day, which is free and open to the public, will highlight a variety of aspects of Korean culture, including food, games, costumes and artifacts. It will be held at RSU’s Bushyhead Fieldhouse on the Claremore campus from noon to 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 1.

Anyone in the Claremore area that would like to participate in the event by displaying Korean artifacts or demonstrating other cultural items or activities should contact Dr. Jae-Ho Kim, ISA faculty adviser, at 918-343-7714 or by e-mail at [email protected].

The International Students Association is a group of students and staff with a shared interest in international cultures. As the student population at RSU has grown, so has campus diversity, leading to a student group focusing on international affairs and sharing multicultural experiences on campus.

RSU students also may have the opportunity to study abroad in South Korea during the summer of 2013. Students in the Korea Summer Study Program will live and study at Hannam University in Taejeon, South Korea while also traveling the country.
