Members of Rogers State University’s student organizations raised $2,335 for local charities during “Hillcat Giveback Week” April 24-28. The total was announced Friday, April 28, in the rotunda of the Dr. Carolyn Taylor Center on the RSU campus in Claremore.
Fundraising activities included a 5K run, volleyball tournament, “Pie a President” event and more. Participating groups included Phi Delta Theta, Alpha Sigma Alpha, the Student Government Association (SGA) and the Best Man on Campus competition.
Funds raised will go to benefit Alzheimer’s Association (Oklahoma chapter), Oklahoma Special Olympics, Rogers County Youth Services and Claremore-based charity Kami’s Kids.
Persons wishing to donate to the charities mentioned may do so by contacting the student organizations or the organizations themselves.
