The season of giving gets underway on the Hill with the return of Rogers State University’s Office of Student Affairs’ Annual “Thanks-For-Giving” Food Drive.
Beginning Monday, Nov. 6, donations of nonperishable and canned Thanksgiving food items will be accepted at the Student Affairs office on the second floor of the Dr. Carolyn Taylor Center on RSU’s Claremore campus.
Recommended items include canned gravy, canned vegetables, box stuffing, pumpkin pie filling, cranberry sauce, cornbread mix, broth or stock, canned yams, canned soup or stew, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, green beans, and more.
Donations will be accepted through Friday, Nov. 17, at which time, all donated items will be collected and used to benefit families in need in the north Tulsa area.
Additionally, students who give a minimum of two food items will be entered for a chance to win an Apple iPad, with one entry for every two food items donated.
Rogers State University’s Office of Student Affairs is comprised of numerous opportunities, programs and services designed to support the educational experience for students.
