A representative from Rogers State University will be at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami several days this spring to discuss the new UConnect program with NEO students.
Joy Lin Husted, RSU assistant director of admissions, will be available to meet individually with NEO students on March 8, April 6, April 28, June 14 and July 13, in the NEO Library-Administration Building. No appointment is necessary.
Husted will provide information about the new UConnect program, transferring to RSU, admission and financial aid procedures and enrolling in RSU classes.
“At RSU, our slogan and guiding principle is ‘it’s personal,'” said Husted. “We’re committed to working closely with each NEO student to ensure a smooth transition into an RSU bachelor’s degree program.”
UConnect is a new program that allows NEO students who earn an associate degree to seamlessly transfer to RSU in certain bachelor’s degree programs, which can be completed entirely online or at the RSU campus in Claremore, just an hour from Miami.
Beginning this fall, NEO students in designated associate degree programs will be able to seamlessly transfer into several RSU bachelor’s degree programs, including the bachelor of science in business administration with options in accounting and management, bachelor of science in business information technology with options in computer network administration and software development and multimedia, and a bachelor of technology in applied technology, with several options.
NEO students also can receive scholarships to attend RSU of up to $2,000 per year if they meet certain academic requirements.
The presidents of both institutions recently signed an articulation agreement at a ceremony on the NEO campus creating the program.
