For those who started college but didn’t complete a degree program, Rogers State University will be offering a week’s worth of activities from July 27 to August 1 that will help connect adult learners with the school’s degree completion programs.
Each come-and-go event during the week will include the opportunity to meet with RSU representatives about degree programs and financial aid, as well as answer questions about returning to college. The activities are part of a statewide campaign to support Oklahoma’s Reach Higher program, which focuses on helping adults complete their college degrees.
RSU Reconnect Week will kick off on Saturday, July 27, with a family day that will have children-friendly events and activities, as well as free hot dogs and drinks for attendees. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dr. Carolyn Taylor Center at the Claremore campus.
On Monday morning, July 29, RSU representatives will be available from 8-11 a.m. in Herrington Hall to discuss degree completion opportunities at RSU. Free coffee, juice and doughnuts will be provided.
On Tuesday evening, July 30, university representatives will be available from 4-6 p.m. in RSU’s Enrollment Center, located in Markham Hall. Drinks and snacks will be provided, along with activities for small children including stickers, coloring sheets and RSU crayons. Appointments may be scheduled.
On Wednesday, July 31, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., advisors will be available in Herrington Hall, Room 110, to discuss adult degree completion options. Free coffee and soft drinks will be available.
The week’s activities will conclude on Thursday morning, August 1, from 8-10 a.m. in Herrington Hall, Room 110. Prospective students can visit with one-on-one with an advisor about RSU’s programs that are tailored for adult learners, specifically for those who want to complete their college degree.
