RSU Radio to Broadcast Special Programming on World College Radio Day Oct. 4

World College Radio Day - Oct 4 2024

RSU Radio will join college radio stations around the world in celebrating World College Radio Day Friday, Oct. 4.

Recognized on the first Friday in October, World College Radio Day celebrates the impact that college radio stations have on their students and audiences. The day also invites new listeners to tune in and experience college radio for the first time and aims to raise greater international awareness of the many college radio stations operating around the world.

According to RSU Radio General Manager Tip Crowley, RSU Radio will commemorate the event by running a showcase of programming with special episodes of the station’s newest and most popular programs.

RSU Radio, or KRSC-FM (91.3 FM), is Rogers State University’s student-run radio station, serving the Claremore and Tulsa area. The station broadcasts 24 hours a day at 2,200 watts, playing a mix of all styles of music, classified as “college alternative.” The station also hosts specialty shows that highlight punk rock, bluegrass, classic country, reggae, world, Latin, hip hop, electronica, garage, and others.
