RSU Public Television (KRSC) returned to the airwaves Friday morning after Verdigris Valley Electric Co-op restored the station’s power. Power outages caused by the Dec. 9 ice storm left RSU Public TV unable to broadcast on cable and UHF stations. DISH TV subscribers were able to receive the station during the outage because of a direct fiber feed to the satellite system.
“We are so happy to be back to full power thanks to the hard work of Verdigris Valley Electric Co-op,” said Dan Schiedel, station manager. “Our number one priority at RSU Public TV is serving viewers and we regret not being able to do so this week because of the power outage.”
RSU Public TV broadcasts on UHF Channel 35, Tulsa and Claremore cable channel 19, DISH TV channel 35 and satellite systems across northeastern Oklahoma. More information is available by calling (800) 823-7210.
