RSU Public Television will kick off its first-ever “Junefest” membership drive at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, with the program “Celebrating North America’s Steam Railways” followed by “John Denver: Live in Japan.”
Viewers from across northeast Oklahoma are encouraged to engage and invest in programming and services delivered by RSU Public TV, said Dan Schiedel, general manager. The drive will feature RSU Public TV staff and the station’s new HD equipment. Junefest will conclude on Sunday, June 6.
“RSU Public TV has decided to conduct a short membership drive in June before we reach the end of the fiscal year. With the local economy struggling, our spring pledge drive did not bring in the needed contributions for our upcoming programming purchases,” said Stephanie Baumgarte, RSU Public TV membership manager. “We have loyal members and are hopeful that they will help us reach our goal in order to keep all of our quality programming on the air.”
Other pledge drive programs include, “From Gershwin to Garland,” “Jack Lalanne: Forever Young” and “America’s National Parks.”
Viewers are encouraged to call 1-800-823-7210 or visit www.rsupublictv.org to make a contribution or to learn more about RSU Public TV programming.
