Rogers State University public relations and sports information staff were recognized with national awards from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletic-Sports Information Directors Association and regional accolades from the Oklahoma College Public Relations Association.
RSU sports publications received first and fifth place awards at the 2009-2010 NAIA-SIDA Publication Contest. Seven RSU athletic publications have received national awards from the NAIA-SIDA Publication Contest during the last three years, with the basketball media guide placing in the top 10 each year.
“We are very proud that our basketball media guide won the NAIA award. This reflects the tremendous effort put forth by our sports information department and public relations department and specifically Ryan Bradley and Randy Riggs. The two have produced many excellent publications and we are very proud they were honored for their efforts,” said Wren Baker, RSU director of athletics.
The OCPRA recognized RSUPR with three awards during its award contest, held July 13, 2010, at Post Oak Lodge as part of the organization’s annual conference.
