The new Rogers State University Pryor campus at MidAmerica Industrial Park will host the annual RSU Foundation Pryor Scholarship Fundraising Breakfast at 8 a.m., Friday, Jan. 24.
The annual event provides scholarships for hardworking students who have the ability to succeed in college but may not have the financial resources necessary to make their education dreams a reality.
The Scholarship Fundraising Breakfast is free, but RSVPs are required by Jan. 22. Contributions are encouraged with proceeds directly funding scholarships for Pryor area students.
Proceeds from last year’s fundraiser helped raise more than $10,000, which funded five scholarships to students attending RSU Pryor. Receiving scholarships during this academic year are: Kevin Dale, a medical/molecular biology junior from Pryor; Devon Devers, a communications junior from Pryor; Matthew Jordan, a sport management junior from Pryor; Kalin Kaul, a biological science freshman from Salina; and Kara McCoy, a medical/molecular biology sophomore from Pryor.
Gold sponsors for the event include Darren and Robin DeLozier; Pryor Creek Publishing/The Paper; Janees Taylor, Cherokee Nation Tribal Council; RCB Bank; and Williams Construction.
Table sponsors include ARVEST, Martha Blackburn, Pete and Pam Fowler, Goodies Convenience Store, Belle S. Harris and Dr. Jane Johansson, Integris Mayes County Medical Center, Nash and Dana Lamb, Lyons Law Firm, Cherie Meislahn, PLLC, Pryor Area Chamber of Commerce and Pryor Area Foundation, Pryor Stone, Roberts Auto Group, S & J Plumbing, and Carlene Webber and Jack and Mary Lee Spinks.
