Rogers State University has planned a Nov. 29 lighting ceremony to honor the start of the holiday season.
The “Holiday on the Hill” event will begin at 5:30 p.m. in front of Preparatory Hall on the Claremore campus. The event will include a performance by the Claremore High School choir, a reading of “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” and a performance by children from RSU’s Child Development Center, the university’s on-campus childcare facility.
A special appearance by Santa Claus also is scheduled. Photos with Santa will be available through the Chi Alpha campus ministry group, which is arranging photos for a small fee. Free hot chocolate will be provided.
The event will conclude with a ceremonial lighting of the decorative lights on historic Preparatory Hall.
“Holiday on the Hill” is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the RSU Office of Student Affairs at (918) 343-7579.
