Min Soe, who received a doctoral degree in physics from the College of William and Mary, has been named assistant professor of physics and mathematics at Rogers State University in Bartlesville.
Soe’s appointment was approved recently by the University of Oklahoma Board of Regents.
Soe will join the faculty of RSU’s Department of Mathematics and Science, located in the School of Mathematics, Science, and Health Sciences.
Previously, Soe served as assistant professor of physics and mathematics at Oklahoma Panhandle State University. He also has served on the faculties of Hampton University in Virginia and the College of William and Mary.
He has written several articles for scholarly publications including the Physics Review and Journal of Plasma Physics. He also has presented several publications at physics and mathematics conference around the world.
He received two master’s degrees in physics and mathematics from Hampton University and a bachelor’s degree in physics from Rangoon University in Burma.
