Rogers State University has expanded its social media presence with a Pinterest account, found at www.pinterest.com/RogersStateU.
Pinterest is a pinboard-style photo sharing website that allows users to collect and organize pictures of their own along with images found online, while linking back to the original source. It is currently the fastest growing social media site and almost a quarter of its users are 24 or younger, according to internet analytic firm ComScore.
“Pinterest allows us to tell the RSU story in a new way to our target audience,” said Jimmy Hart, RSU public relations coordinator. “It allows us to show prospective students, their parents and potential employees how beautiful our campus is, how vibrant the community is and how much excitement exists among our faculty, alumni and student body.”
RSU pinboards currently focus on student life, athletics, Claremore, RSU alumni and a collection of striking university images.
RSU often leverages social media for outreach and recruiting purposes. You also can follow the university on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Flickr and YouTube.
