Printmaking From Goya to Hanks posterA reception celebrating an art exhibit 50 years in the making will be held in the Gary Moeller Gallery of the Arts from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 26.

“Printmaking – From Goya to Hanks” is an exhibit of fine art prints from the Rosser/Floyd collection, featuring 46 selected works from the late 18th century to the present, with an emphasis on 20th century American printmaking.

Works in the collection have been amassed over the last 50 years by Professor Steven Rosser and Darleta Floyd. This eclectic collection, driven by the personal aesthetics of the collectors, focuses on beauty and visual interest while being mindful of the artist’s position in the history of printmaking.

Many of the prints are historically significant and represent a diverse array of artists, periods and styles.

This exhibit will be up through Oct. 18 in the Gary Moeller Gallery of the Arts in Baird Hall on RSU’s Claremore campus. The reception with light refreshments will be held 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26.
