The RSU Foundation is bringing its largest breakfast fundraiser back to Claremore this March with the Claremore Scholarship Fundraising Breakfast. Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are now available.
Scheduled for March 30, the breakfast fundraiser returns to raise money for scholarships for students attending Rogers State University in Claremore, according to Tonni Harrald, senior director of development.
Last year, the Claremore event exceeded expectations, raising just over $50,000 – an accomplishment Harrald said she would love to duplicate this year. Cost to attend the breakfast is free, but Harrald said the Foundation always appreciates donations, noting “every little bit helps.” All donations are tax-deductible.
“We were thrilled at how well last year’s Claremore event did. We’d love to do as well this year as the need is always there, now more than ever, so we’re certainly hopeful for a successful fundraiser,” she said.
The RSU Foundation encourages businesses, groups and individuals to show their support for RSU students by becoming event sponsors or advertisers.
“Sponsorships are always our biggest source of revenue, with several tiers of sponsorship opportunities available,” she said. “So we’re asking those who can to invest in our future by investing in our students and by helping make their dreams of getting an education a reality.”
Scholarships significantly reduce the out-of-pocket expense for recipients and their families. Students selected to receive scholarships from the fundraising breakfast are chosen from among those who have applied online for a Foundation-funded scholarship.
“We’re very grateful for our sponsors,” Harrald said. “Their contributions – of any amount – are greatly appreciated and truly help give RSU students the chance for a better life.”
The Claremore Scholarship Fundraising Breakfast will be held from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Thursday, March 30, in the Dr. Carolyn Taylor Center Ballroom.
