Art in a variety of media by Rogers State University students will be exhibited March 29 through April 12 at RSU’s Foundations Gallery.
The Student Art Exhibition, which is free and open to the public, will feature work by current RSU students. A public opening reception for the exhibition and an awards presentation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, in the gallery.
RSU art students will compete for scholarships in the juried exhibition. The guest judge for this year’s competition will be Tulsa artist Mark Lewis, who is regionally well-known for his paintings of Tulsa cityscapes.
The exhibition features the best photography, drawings, paintings, sculpture, ceramics, graphic arts, and mixed media pieces created by RSU students during the current school year.
Foundations Gallery is located on the first floor of Baird Hall on the RSU campus in Claremore.
RSU offers a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts (also available online) and visual arts (with options in graphic design, multimedia and studio arts) and associate’s degrees in art with options in general art, art history and graphics. The degrees are offered by RSU’s Department of Communication and Fine Arts in its School of Liberal Arts.
