Rogers State University recently completed its 2010 campaign for the Rogers County United Way by raising more than $7,400 for the organization and exceeding the campus goal.
Through events, an online auction, payroll deductions and one-time donations, the university exceeded the $6,000 fundraising goal set by RSU President Dr. Larry Rice.
“I am proud of the support our campus community has so happily shown for the United Way,” Rice said. “During economic times such as these, contributing to Rogers County United Way is an important act of generosity that benefits many people in important ways.”
The fundraising effort was led by a campus committee chaired by Dr. MaryRose Hart and Kristi Mallett. Other committee members were Dr. Dana Gray, Marisa Littlefield, Yvonne Pace, Adrean Shelley, Leonard Szopinski, Dr. Greg Thompson and Sara Williams.
