The Rogers State University Office of Admissions will open enrollment for all prospective students on March 29 for the summer and fall 2021 semesters. Enrollment events for graduating high school seniors, transfer students and adult learners will take place through the spring and summer months.
“We are excited for our upcoming summer and fall start dates,” Lee Johnson, director of admissions, said. “Summer is a great opportunity for our students to catch up or get ahead and the fall semester is always full of energy as new students arrive on campus. Our team is looking forward to assisting students with the application and enrollment process.”
Earlier this month, RSU announced the return to full capacity in-person classes at each of its locations.
“Under the guidance of our COVID-19 Taskforce, Rogers State University is planning a more fully-restored college experience for the fall 2021 semester,” RSU President Dr. Larry Rice said. “This includes resuming in-person classes at regular capacity university-wide with necessary safety precautions. Classes designed for in-person delivery will be held face-to-face on campus this fall semester.”
The enrollment period is also open for RSU’s Reach Higher program for adult learners. Five, eight-week mini semesters allow working adults to complete their degree with minimal interruption. Reach Higher’s Reconnect Week at RSU is set for April 12-16. Appointments can be made in person or via Zoom.
“The Reach Higher program is a convenient and flexible degree option for many working adults in our community that do not have time for a traditional class schedule. Five, eight-week mini semesters allow working adults to complete their degree with minimal interruption while also providing them with an excellent avenue for degree completion,” Ronna Hatley, Reach Higher facilitator, said.
Incoming freshmen can participle in Enrollment Days June 1, 2 and 4 from 8:15 a.m. to 12 p.m. This is a day for admitted students to meet with their advisor, build their classes schedule, talk with financial aid, get their student ID, meet their peers, receive a free T-shirt and learn about new student orientation.
“Our admissions team is looking forward to Enrollment Days. Students will be sent an invitation to this event once admitted. We will be limiting each session to 30 students plus one guest to ensure the health and safety of all participants,” Addison Sewell, campus visits and events coordinator, said. “Students will need to bring their driver’s license, license plate number and RSU student ID number.”
