Artwork, poetry and other expressions of social, cultural and environmental uniqueness will be on display in a celebration of diversity at the Creative Showcase event from April 4-18 in the Stratton Taylor Library on RSU’s Claremore campus. All members of the RSU community are invited to submit works for the event.

An open house will be held at 6 p.m. April 4 to kick off the Showcase and to allow many of the artists and creators present to perform or discuss their original works.

“In recognition of the broad range of diverse identities present within our university and the distinct expressions of beauty found in nature, this event aims to highlight the talents, voices and contributions of RSU’s diverse population through multimedia display,” said interim library director Kaitlin Crotty. “Examples of pieces may include – but aren’t limited to – poetry, paintings, drawings, digital arts, sculpture, writing, monologues, song, dance, photography, weaving, quilting and other textile works.”

Interested RSU Claremore, Bartlesville and Pryor students, faculty, staff and alumni are encouraged to secure their spot in this event by signing up at https://rsu.libwizard.com/f/CreativeShowcase2023.

Entries should be submitted by noon on Monday, March 27. Submissions may remain anonymous. Online students may contribute via digital submissions if submitting physical entries to one of RSU’s three campuses is not an option.

Following the event, physical submissions must be picked up by no later than 5 p.m. Monday, May 1.
