The Rogers State University Jazz Ensemble and Choir will offer a winter concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, in the Will Rogers Auditorium.
The concert is free and open to the public. Canned food items will be collected and then donated to the Good Samaritan Pantry at the First United Methodist Church of Claremore.
The concert will feature the University Choir and the RSU Jazz Ensemble. The Jazz Ensemble will play a variety of winter seasonal music. Selections include Vince Guaraldi’s “Christmas is Here,” Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas,” Greg Yasinitsky’s arrangement of “Greensleeves” and a jazz arrangement of Johnny Marks Class “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”
The choir will perform several selections including “And the Glory of the Lord” from Handel’s Messiah and “Festival Sanctus” by John Leavitt.
Along with RSU students, faculty and staff, these ensembles feature community members from Collinsville, Oologah, and Claremore.
