Dr. Richard J. Ronan has been named Assistant Professor of Applied Technology at Rogers State University.
This month, Ronan joined the faculty of RSU’s Business and Technology in the Department of Applied Technology.
Since 1998, Ronan has served as an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at RSU. He also has taught and conducted research in the areas of computer science, chemistry and physics at Tulsa Community College, Iowa State University, Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, the University of Hawaii and Franklin College of Indiana.
In addition, he managed several private environmental consulting and marketing companies, including ASOC in Tulsa, South West Laboratory of Broken Arrow, Okla., Roy F. Weston Inc. of Lionville, Penn., and Versar Inc. in Springfield, Va.
He also has worked as Director of Engineering and Research for Fisher Scientific in Waltham, Mass., and at the Central Regional Laboratory of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Chicago.
His areas of academic specialty include computer science, environmental chemistry and business.
He received doctoral and master’s degrees from the University of Hawaii and a bachelor’s degree from Franklin College of Indiana.
He and his wife Peggy live in Tulsa and have three grown children.
