Coffeyville Community College and Rogers State University have announced a partnership allowing students who earn an associate’s degree from CCC to seamlessly transfer to RSU and pursue a bachelor’s degree, receiving in-state tuition.
The two schools recently signed an articulation agreement allowing CCC students who earn an associate’s degree to transfer to RSU without having to retake any classes or lose any credits.
In addition, CCC graduates will not be required to pay out-of-state tuition to attend RSU, which has campuses in Bartlesville and Claremore, Okla.
“CCC and RSU are working closely to provide students a seamless four-year education,” said RSU President Joe Wiley. “In effect, this will allow students to begin working on their bachelor’s degrees while enrolled at CCC.”
RSU is the closest four-year university to Coffeyville, with campuses 35 minutes away in Bartlesville and an hour away in Claremore. RSU offers a wide variety of bachelor’s degrees, many of which are available entirely online.
“We are excited to offer our students this new opportunity to begin planning their requirements for a bachelor’s degree as early as their freshman year,” said CCC President Dr. Don Woodburn.
Students majoring in a variety of disciplines at CCC may seamlessly pursue several RSU bachelor’s degrees as a result of the articulation agreement, including bachelor’s degrees in applied technology, biology – environmental conservation, biology – medical/molecular, business administration – accounting, business administration – management, business information technology – software development and multimedia, communications – radio and television, liberal arts, social science – history and political science, and social science – psychology and sociology. Several of the degrees may be completed entirely online or through classes at RSU campuses in Claremore or Bartlesville.
To enroll at RSU, students must complete an admission application and submit copies of official transcripts from previous high schools and colleges they attended. ACT scores also will be required.
RSU is a regional university with 3,800 students on campuses in Claremore, Bartlesville and Pryor.
CCC is a comprehensive community college offering two-year transfer degree programs for students seeking a bachelor’s degree.
