Rogers State University has partnered with Unite Oklahoma to provide resources for its campus community. The university is the first higher education institution collaborating to serve and address students social and mental health needs.
“Utilizing Unite Oklahoma’s platform, RSU students can work with staff to find resources that are located not only within Rogers County, but throughout the state. Students may need support outside the classroom, and this platform is an additional resource for us to help meet those needs. Students can be referred for outside support while respecting the privacy of the student and maintaining confidentiality,” Jeana Rae Conn, director of student conduct & development /title IX coordinator, said.
Unite Oklahoma is a coordinated care network of health and social service providers. Partners in the network are connected through Unite Us‘ shared technology platform, which enables them to send and receive electronic referrals, address people’s social needs, and improve health across communities. Unite Oklahoma is sponsored by the Oklahoma Health Care Authority, Mercy Health, and CREOKS Health Services. The network is supported by an Oklahoma-based Unite Us team focused on community engagement, network health and optimization, and customer success.
Unite Oklahoma is now live in Oklahoma, Tulsa, Wagoner, Rogers, Okmulgee, Creek, Osage, Washington, and Comanche counties, and will continue to grow and expand community-based organization resources across the state in 2022.
