Ronna Hatley, administrative assistant in the Office of Student Affairs at Rogers State University, recently received the Outstanding Support Personnel Award from the Oklahoma College Student Personnel Association (OCSPA.)
Hatley was presented the award at the annual OCSPA conference at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.
“Students, faculty and staff alike know that Ronna has the answers to their questions, and she happily assists them…” according to a nomination letter submitted by staff of the RSU Office of Student Affairs.
Hatley has worked at RSU since 2005. In her position, she provides administrative support to the vice president for student affairs, compiles data and prepares reports, reconciles numerous budgets, keeps records of purchase orders and payments, develops and maintains filing systems, supervises student workers and assists in the operation of the new Centennial Center at RSU. She also serves on the RSU Student Affairs Council and provides support for the Strategic Planning Committee.
Previously, she worked as site secretary at Stuart Roosa Elementary School in Claremore. She also has worked as bookkeeper and teller at RCB Bank in Claremore and First National Bank in Holdenville, Okla. In addition, she has served as children’s church director at the First Assembly of God in Claremore.
She is active in the community, serving as pianist for the Church of the Nazarene in Claremore.
She is working on a bachelor’s degree in business administration – accounting option at RSU and recently was inducted into the Alpha Chi and Sigma Beta Delta honor societies. She also attended Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton, Okla., and graduated from Red Oak High School in Red Oak, Okla.
