Rogers State University’s Office of Admissions welcomes prospective students to campus this spring to learn about RSU and life on the Hill.
Scheduled for Saturday, April 5, Hillcat Preview Day is a one-day event designed to help potential RSU students – whether still in high school, transfer students or adult learners – and their family members learn about the educational opportunities available at RSU and how to go about becoming a Hillcat.
“During the event, we cover the admissions process, clubs, organizations and departments, with a student organization browsing session at the beginning, and then we’ll break them up by whatever major they prefer or are interested in,” said Natalia Sumner, RSU campus visits and events coordinator. “Those smaller groups will then spend time with the university’s various academic departments – Biology, Communications, English and Humanities, Business, Nursing, etc. – to chat with professors and other students within those departments.
“If they’re undecided, we’ll help them take steps to determine what areas they might be interested in and give them an idea of what we can do for them,” she continued.
Hillcat Preview Day participants will receive a free RSU t-shirt, be entered for the chance to win a scholarship, tour the campus and student housing, learn about financial aid and scholarship opportunities, sign up for a personalized campus tour, and meet with other RSU students.
Space is limited, so registration is strongly encouraged.
Check in for registrants begins at 9:30 a.m. in the Dr. Carolyn Taylor Center on RSU’s Claremore campus. Activities will be held from 10 a.m. through 1 p.m. Lunch will be served during this event.
