Rogers State University paid tribute to its longtime employees Tuesday, as faculty, staff, and administrators serving for 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 years were honored at the RSU Years of Service Recognition Ceremony.
Held April 30 in the Dr. Carolyn Taylor Center Ballroom, the ceremony was an informal gathering of faculty and staff to honor employees for their commitment to excellence and service to their respective offices at the university.
“Thank you for taking time away from your positions, from your posts as we honor some of you and your colleagues today,” began RSU President Dr. Larry Rice. “We felt it was important, because it’s so hard to recruit and retain great employees, and the folks we’re going to recognize today deserve recognition for their dedication to the Hill. We’re making history this afternoon.”
Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Richard Beck then joined Rice in recognizing RSU employees’ years of service, presenting each with a certificate of appreciation for their time on the Hill.
Five-year service honorees were Sarah Adcock, Dr. David Bath, James Brewer, Dr. Thomas Carment, Paul Carpenter, Angela Coats, Luz Garrett, Bobbi Gill, Jamil Haynes, Anita Horton, Randall Keirsey, Dr. Cheyanne Olson, Kendall Ragsdale, Dr. Jaeman Son, Cecily Tubbs and Kenneth Wallace
Ten-year service honorees were Dana Best, Dr. Todd Jackson, Dr. David Johnk, Veronica Rackley, Dr. Jin Seo, Dr. Marla Smith, Don Thompson and Andrea Vaughan.
Fifteen-year service honorees were Justin Barkley, Dr. Richard Beck, Catherine Heimdale, Dr. Larry Rice, Dr. Katarzyna Roberts, Dr. Masoud Saffarian-Toussi and Dr. Craig Zimmermann.
Employees recognized for 20 years of service included Tonni Harrald and Bayone Pettis.
Dr. Hugh Foley was recognized for his 25 years of service at RSU.
