The RSU Open Mock Interviews wrapped up last week with a record-breaking turnout of 65 students in various degree programs ranging from freshmen to senior level.
Events like the Mock Interviews are a great way for our students to not only polish interview skills and become more comfortable in that setting, but also to interact with potential employers. I witnessed one such connection being made – the interviewer didn’t have an opportunity in their company but knew someone who did and wanted to connect the student.
In addition, employers get to spend time on campus investing in our students and seeing firsthand the talent that RSU produces.
During the Mock Interviews, the RSU Career Closet was also on display in the Rotunda Area. Several students found multiple items each that were perfect for interview or career attire.
The interviews were held over a period of four days and made possible with the help of 20 volunteers including several RSU Staff and Faculty (#RSUKudos!) as well as local employers and corporate recruiters.
