The Claremore Museum of History is presenting a lecture by Tim Carter, author of “Oklahoma! The Making of an American Musical,” at noon on Friday, Aug. 31.
Carter’s talk will be held in conjunction with the 75th anniversary of our state’s namesake musical. Carter serves as the David G. Frey Distinguished Professor of Music at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research areas include American musical theater in the mid-twentieth century.
The RSU lecture, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Baird Hall Performance Studio (Room 131).
