
Eric Stevenson, member and past chair of the University of Oklahoma Board of Regents and president of Nationwide Retirement Solutions, will deliver the RSU commencement address May 10.
Eric Stevenson, member and past chair of the University of Oklahoma Board of Regents and president of Nationwide Retirement Solutions, will deliver the address to graduates during Rogers State University’s 2025 Spring Commencement ceremony next month. The OU Board of Regents serves as the governing body for Rogers State University, Cameron University and the University of Oklahoma.
Spring commencement will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at Soldier Field on the RSU campus in Claremore.
With nearly two decades of financial services industry experience, Stevenson currently serves as president of Nationwide Retirement Solutions. He had previously served as senior vice president of Nationwide Retirement Solutions Distribution, a role in which he grew and led a national team of 500 associates accountable for growing assets and helping more than 2.5 million retirement plan participants prepare for and live in retirement.
In 2006, he joined Nationwide in Life Insurance marketing, shortly after which, he joined Retirement Solutions marketing, assuming roles of increasing responsibility.
In 2007, he was named vice president of Nationwide Retirement Solutions Marketing for public and private sector, where he repositioned the brand from a product focus to a customer service experience.
He acquired a breadth of business experience over the previous 20-plus years, serving in a variety of leadership roles, among these, at Quaker Oats (now PepsiCo) and Warner Lambert (now Pfizer), where he managed sales and marketing for consumer-packaged goods and over the counter products.
A native of Wagoner, Oklahoma, Stevenson earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Oklahoma and his Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He holds the NASD Series 6, 26 and 65 licenses.
He was appointed by Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt to the OU Board of Regents in March 2019. Previously, he served as a member of the Price College of Business Advisory Council and on the boards of the National Association of Securities Professionals (NASP) and the Salvation Army. In 2022, Stevenson was recognized by Savoy as one of the Most Influential Black Executives in Corporate America.
