Beginning object-oriented programming topics may also be covered. Prerequisite: CS 1213 or instructor's permission.
- CS 2323 Programming II: Building upon Programming I, this course delves deeper into JAVA programming, covering advanced topics such as GUI development, multithreading, and data persistence. Advanced skills in solving problems such as sorting algorithms, list processing, recursion, and code management. Prerequisite: CS 2223 or equivalent.

This Drone Pilot micro-credential is designed to meet the needs of aspiring professional drone pilots and hobbyists alike. RSU is part of the FAA’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems Collegiate Training Initiative (UAS-CTI). This is a new program designed for universities, colleges, and technical schools by the FAA to recognize institutions that prepare students for careers in UAS or drones and RSU is proud to have been accepted into the UAS-CTI. Completers are prepared to take the FAA aeronautical knowledge test: "Unmanned Aircraft General – Small (UAG)" under 14 CFR Part 107 Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems. - Essentials of Corrections and Online Learning: (6) hour non-credit course team taught by Rogers County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) and RSU’s faculty. This course of instruction will be taught the Saturday prior to Fall and Spring semester starts. The first four (4) hours, taught by RCSO detention officers, will be dedicated to providing learners a fundamental understanding of the corrections/detention officer career pathways as well as essential skills and knowledge required. The final two hours, taught by RSU Criminal Justice full-time faculty, will provide the learners lessons in online learning, LMS (Blackboard) familiarization, time management, and course overviews of for credit courses.
- CJ 1113 Introduction to Criminal Justice: An introduction to the primary components of the criminal justice system - law enforcement, the court system, and corrections - and their general operating processes and responsibilities; the legal, social, and ethical issues influencing criminal justice; and the availability of criminal case file information to the public (3-credit hours).
- CJ 1213 Introduction to Corrections: A survey of corrections including a review of the history and development of the system; roles and functions of participants; and prevention, treatment, and supervision programs for offenders (3-credit hours).
The foundations of a successful community policing strategy are the close, mutually beneficial ties between police and community members and consists of two complementary core components, community partnership and problem solving. - CJ 2343 - Community Relations: An examination of the relationship between law enforcement and the community, including programs in community policing, human relations, and crime prevention. The course will examine ethics, conflict resolution, cultural diversity, and professionalism (3-credit hours).
- CJ 3413 - Ethical Decision-Making: An in-depth inquiry into the uniquely binding and significant authority of criminal justice professionals to act on behalf of the state and to exercise discretionary authority. (3-credit hours).
Successful completion is defined as a “C” or better.
