Enrollment of first-time freshmen and transfer students has increased for the fall semester at Rogers State University.
The number of first-time freshmen increased 4.3 percent from a year ago to 509 students, while the number of transfer students jumped 14.3 percent to 272, according to a preliminary enrollment report.
“These numbers are an encouraging sign of enrollment improving from its post-pandemic lows,” said Dr. Larry Rice, university president. “More students are making Rogers State their first choice for higher education because of the combination of academic quality and affordability.”
Overall, enrollment for the current fall semester is nearly the same as last fall, with 3,215 students enrolled at RSU’s main campus in Claremore, branch campuses in Bartlesville and Pryor, and in online courses.
